This collaboration formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), is set to facilitate mobile payments near the Nagar Nigam, enhancing the convenience for millions of devotees expected to visit the sacred city.

Paytm, owned by One97 Communications Limited, will install Paytm card machines at various cash collection centers under the State Nagar Nigam departments.
This initiative will enable payments through QR codes, Soundbox, and card machines, thereby simplifying the transaction process for visitors.
Paytm’s Chief Business Officer of Payments, Abhay Sharma, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the importance of providing secure and convenient digital payment solutions for the devotees attending the inauguration of the Ram Mandir.
Ayodhya’s Preparations for the Event
The Mayor of Ayodhya Nagar Nigam, Girish Pati Tripathi, acknowledged the partnership with Paytm as a crucial step in ensuring a smooth digital payment experience for the millions of devotees.
In preparation for the ceremony, the Lucknow Joint Commissioner of Police chaired a meeting to discuss alternative routes and security arrangements. The focus is on promoting awareness of alternative routes to Ayodhya to manage the expected influx of visitors.
